July 14 Food Bank for NYC Day of Service

There are now 5 slots available for Tuesday, July 14^th, Free Farmers Market at the Community Kitchen in Harlem. Please note that we have created a waitlist in the event an opening is available. In addition, should any of our members outside of the quintet who are volunteering like to stop by and see the project in action, you are more than welcome to do so, and should contact Dames Joan Brower or Marsha Palanci directly.

Project Mission: The Free Farmers Market at the Community Kitchen follows a client-choice style pantry model, where our neighbors can select groceries that are the best fit for their families, focusing on fresh produce. Join us for the day to help us distribute food to hundreds of community members!

Participation Fee: $15*

*Thank you. The ticket cost covers LDNY' s organizational operating expenses.

Time:

• Tuesday, July 14^th from 9:15 AM – 1:30 PM
• Location: Community Kitchen, 252 West 116^th Street

Tasks may include:

• Helping with set-up and break-down of the distribution.
• Engaging with community members while providing a client-choice distribution, where community members are able to select their preferred items.
• Restocking products to be distributed.
• Managing the line and conducting intake.
• Breaking down boxes and keeping the sidewalk clear.
